Among the many Christmas markets that emerge from November to December in Madrid, there are some on the outskirts that deserve to leave the M30. The Mercado de las Conchas returns this Christmas to Torrelodones with a special and limited edition that will take place on December 13 and 14 at La Casa Verde, where the Christmas spirit joins crafts, fashion, art and gastronomy in a unique environment. For the past nine years, this event has established itself as a reference in the northwest mountains of Madrid and a showcase for those looking for different, handmade proposals.
In this edition, more than thirty selected exhibitors will fill the spaces of the emblematic house with creations by designers, jewelers, ceramists, decorators, gourmet producers and specialists in natural wellness. Here you can buy everything from French wines and pâtés, artisanal oils, cured meats and local cheeses, to traditional sweets, honey and natural cosmetics products. Art will be the protagonist with unique ceramic pieces, jewelry, paper and decoupage creations, handmade candles and sculptures designed to bring light, harmony and style to any corner of the home. In the field of fashion and accessories, the offer includes children’s clothing, hand-painted silks, backpacks and scarves, and sculptural watches.
A Christmas market with workshops

The experience is complemented by a gastronomic proposal thanks to the Bocana food truck, which will offer gourmet burgers of local meat from the Sierra de Guadarrama, with handmade brioche bread, designed to enhance the local and accompany the tour between stalls.
One of the highlights will be the program of creative workshops by Jimena Zalles (El taller de Jimena), where attendees can model wool figures inspired by Christmas (trees, elves and snowmen) in small group sessions and with all materials included.
The Green House, rehabilitated with sustainable criteria and surrounded by gardens, has a framework difficult to match that makes the market an essential event to enjoy, give gifts and support local creation. Admission is free, the schedule is from 11:00 to 20:00 h both days and the full agenda can be found on the website and social networks of the market.
