At a time when we are accustomed to many things happening at the same time and everywhere is often generated tensions between offering attractive leisure options and the desire of the neighborhood not to see their neighborhood turned into an eventodromo. The Torrejón de Ardoz City Council has taken on board the feelings of its neighbors and has decided to cancel, with the exception of one, all the macro festivals in the city.
Brava Madrid’, ‘Madrid Salvaje’ and ‘Torrejón Summer Fest’ will no longer be held in the Madrid town after the consistory torrejonero has issued an official statement announcing this measure, in order to avoid inconvenience to the neighbors.
The torrejonenses had long been denouncing that, as a result of these macro-festivals in Torrejón de Ardoz were frequent crowds, noise and difficulties in finding parking. Therefore, this news comes as a neighborhood victory.
The City Council considers that “its famous Magical Christmas, Popular Festivities and Patron Saint Festivities already offer an excellent free leisure offer” and the only big festival that will be maintained is the Elrow Town, with a date for May 1, 2026.
