Today, Tuesday, April 29, the Regulated Parking Service (SER) in Madrid is free until 3:00 pm as an exceptional measure after the electrical blackout that affected the whole country. This means that it will not be necessary to pay for parking in green and blue zones.
The Madrid City Council informed through its official channels that the usual SER schedules and rates will be resumed in the afternoon.
This measure is in addition to others adopted by the Madrid authorities, such as free public transport throughout the day, including intercity buses and those of the Municipal Transport Company (EMT), to facilitate the mobility of citizens while the city recovers from the consequences of the blackout.
