Is the festival season in Madrid never-ending? In the capital, we have nearly five months of outdoor music, and for the rest of the year, festivals take place in venues, stadiums, and arenas, where you can see your favorite bands, discover new ones, and revisit some of the bands from your past with a touch of nostalgia—all in a single day.
Among all the music festivals in Madrid, here’s a list of the most notable ones, including a wish list with a few musical getaways.

One of the most special and highly anticipated festivals thanks to its idyllic location, excellent acoustics, the chance to see your favorite artists in an intimate setting, and a lineup that, for its 10th anniversary, is pulling out all the stops. Noches del Botánico turns ten with Garbage, two dates featuring Rigoberta Bandini, Ethel Cain, Lia Kali, Zaz, Jean-Michel Jarre, Biffy Clyro, Diana Krall…

Yung Beef, Grecas, Pablo Chill-E, Juicy Bae, Jarfaiter, Sticky M.A., Soto Asa, Hard GZ, Al Safir… a new festival is coming to Madrid this June featuring the biggest names in the urban scene (and those on their way to becoming big names). Day passes and festival passes are now on sale.
Blockparty Arganzuela
The neighborhood festival, modeled after New York’s “block parties,” returns to the Explanada Negra in Madrid Río on June 6 with a stellar lineup headlined by the Texan band Die Spitz (seriously, just to share the air with them makes it worth buying a ticket to this festival—what stage presence! Long live rock!), the band Mujeres, Uni Boys, Fast Kids, and Sandré.
La Carbonería del Galván
A new festival in the city (though the concept and the venue will surely ring a bell). The auditorium in Tierno Galván Park will once again become the stage for a concert series: one night, one artist, for two weeks. Things kick off strong, with Rodrigo Cuevas presenting his Manual de belleza on the magical night of San Juan. And it continues with Miss Caffeina, Gipsy Kings with Nicolás Reyes and Kiko Veneno, Albert Pla…

What does the summer of 2026 look like? Amaia, La M.O.D.A., Chambao’s 25th anniversary, Katy Perry, The Offspring, Molotov, Bomba Estéreo, and La Casa Azul are just some of the names already announced for the ninth edition of Río Babel. This summer, it returns to the Miguel Ríos Auditorium in Rivas-Vaciamadrid from July 3 to 5. Many artists (and comedians) are still to be confirmed. Day passes and festival passes are now on sale.
Mad Cool

Nick Cave & The Bad Sees, Foo Fighters, Florence + The Machine, Moby, Pixies, Pulp, Kings of Leon, Lorde, The Blaze, Richie Hawtin… what doesn’t this year ’s Mad Cool lineup have? One has to wonder. The festival returns to Villaverde to celebrate its tenth anniversary with a lineup of over 70 artists that has it all and more.
Inverfest
This concert series has it all: pop, rock, flamenco, classical music, and probably some genre that hasn’t even been invented yet. This edition of Inverfest is entering hibernation mode with the final concerts in February, March, and May (The Clause, Juaquina, Leïti…) and will return next fall with confirmed acts for the new edition, including Margarita Quebrada, Víctor Manuel, Carlos Núñez, Barry B, Sidecars, and Carlos Ares. All the info here.
Iberdrola Music Festival

The Iberdrola Music Festival will bring together Lenny Kravitz, Manuel Carrasco, Ana Mena, Álvaro de Luna, and Lola Bozzano (with more artists to be confirmed) for a one-day music event celebrating the electric company’s 125th anniversary.
Bonus track: two getaways to Portugal

This summer, Primavera Sound Porto (June 11–14) brings together 55 artists just a one-hour-and-twenty-minute flight from the capital. Massive Attack, Gorillaz, and The XX headline a stellar lineup that also features IDLES, Big Thief, Slowdive, Viagra Boys, and Bad Gyal. The festival retains the essence of its Barcelona counterpart but offers a more manageable format: fewer stages and acts that will perform exclusively in Portugal, such as Triángulo de Amor Bizarro, Model/Actriz, and Black Country, New Road.
Meanwhile, Rock in Rio Lisbon ( June 20, 21, 27, and 28) brings together the biggest names in international music just an hour and a half by plane from Madrid. Katy Perry headlines the opening, giving way to a day focused on metal and rock with Linkin Park, Sepultura, P.O.D., and Hoobastank. The second weekend reserves its main stage for a gathering of legends headlined by Cyndi Lauper, Rod Stewart, and 4 Non Blondes, and closes out the festival with the largest urban music lineup in its history, led by 21 Savage, Central Cee, and Lola Índigo.
