In Madrid, there’s always something happening. Even intentions are set in stone—half-built projects that stand as witnesses to an idea that once was. One of these spaces will open for just one day to showcase 150 works that will be exhibited and auctioned inside a concrete spiral. It’s called ENEAS, it will take place on November 13, and it’s a new way to experience contemporary art. Tickets are available for a limited number of attendees.
This site is the skeleton of the unfinished Torrejón de la Calzada Automotive Museum project, designed by Mansilla + Tuñón. A 37,000-square-meter cylindrical concrete mass that will become a landmark for the big names in European contemporary art collecting.

The future of contemporary art in a Brutalist building
Is it an exhibition? A silent auction? It’s all that and more. ENEAS is organized by Saisho and Eneaverso magazine. Some 150 works will be displayed on the concrete walls, which will serve as a blank canvas for the 60 participating artists. A circular journey to discover and reflect on contemporary art.

Everything in this Brutalist spiral will be set up and taken down within 24 hours. Here one moment, gone the next. Ephemeral in form but eternal in conversation because, as the creators of the experience state, it is designed “so that you discover something. An artist. An idea. A conversation. A person. A collection.” The mission is to begin here, before anywhere else, the reflections that will shape the future of contemporary collecting.
The exhibited works will be auctioned that same day in the presence of collectors, institutions, critics, curators, cultural agents, and artists from the national and international art scenes.
