“Madrid es Paisaje” returns in 2026 with the theme “Beyond Architecture: The Role of Art in Shaping the Urban Landscape.” From October 20 to November 8, the program will offer Madrileños 3,000 free spots distributed among workshops, guided tours, gatherings, film screenings, artistic interventions, and audiovisual creations on urban screens. The goal: to help citizens of all ages engage with the city’s heritage and landscape from perspectives that are rarely explored.
All activities are free, but require advance online registration. The registration schedule is divided into two phases: guided tours and workshops on the first weekend (October 23–25), the “Art and Place” event at CentroCentro, and the Cineteca film series can be booked starting today on the heritage reservations portal. Bookings for the remaining activities will open on October 20. With the exception of the Cineteca program, which charges a fee per session and is managed directly through its own website.
New viewpoints and public art routes

Guided tours of urban viewpoints are one of the program’s highlights. This year, two new locations have been added, both in Puente de Vallecas: the Cerro del Tío Pío viewpoint and the Dama del Manzanares viewpoint. They join the regular locations at the Cuña Verde in Latina, the Hortaleza Silo, the Entrevías Forest Park, and the Cuña Verde in O’Donnell, Moratalaz. The tours take place from Friday through Sunday (and on Monday, November 2, a holiday) at 11:00 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 4:00 p.m., from October 23 through November 8.
The 2026 edition also includes public art tours through El Retiro and activities specifically designed for families with children ages 6 to 13, broadening the program’s reach beyond its usual adult audience. With limited spots and reservations opening in less than 24 hours, it’s best not to wait until the last minute.
