This year,Halloween will have a new major attraction in the Community of Madrid. Screamfield Park will open its doors on October 2 and run through November 8 in Mejorada del Campo, offering an experience reminiscent of the major scream parks in the United States: an entire town transformed into a horror experience, complete with haunted attractions, shows, creatures, cinematic settings, and dozens of actors ready to turn a night out into a nightmare.
The venue will cover approximately 50,000 square meters and will feature 70 actors in costume, five horror attractions, and its own narrative universe. General admission tickets are now available starting at 35 euros, with prices varying depending on the day chosen and additional options for those who want to reduce wait times or enjoy a more complete experience.
A horror village half an hour from Madrid
Screamfield Park is not a conventional haunted house set up in a shopping mall, nor is it a single-room experience: the event transforms a large area in Mejorada del Campo into a themed village where visitors will wander through streets, staged spaces, haunted houses, and areas populated by fictional characters.
Attendees will enter a unique narrative, with different areas, creatures, and situations designed to create tension, startles, and immersion. The atmosphere draws on references from American horror films, video games, haunted houses, and the Halloween festivals that are all the rage across the Atlantic.
Five haunted attractions and 70 actors
The park will feature five haunted attractions, each with its own theme and mechanics. The goal is for the tour to have different paces: moments of tension, jump scares, characters that interact with the audience, and more open-air areas where the experience continues even outside the haunted houses.
In total, around 70 costumed actors will bring to life creatures, victims, killers, supernatural entities, and other characters that will be part of the Screamfield universe. Their presence will be one of the elements that sets the park apart from an exhibition or a decorative installation: the terror won’t be limited to the sets, but will also lie in what might appear behind a door, cross your path, or approach you unexpectedly during the tour.
The scenes will be designed to make visitors feel as if they’ve stepped into a movie. However, the park warns that this is an intense experience. The organizers recommend that visitors be at least 16 years old and note that minors must be accompanied by an adult.
