Once again this year, the wooden booths and warm lights will transform the exterior of El Corte Inglés on Castellana into a festive Christmas setting. The Nuevos Ministerios market is scheduled to open next Friday and will run through January 5. It will be set up in the shopping center’s outdoor parking lot and will once again feature a concept inspired by European markets: an open-air stroll amid lights, gifts, and stalls where visitors can stop for a bite to eat.
This market is especially known for the culinary offerings it brings together. Among the participants announced for this year are San Ginés, La Romana, Vicens, Café de París, Beata Pasta, Arzábal, Hundred Burgers, Not From Italy, La Martinuca, and La Cocreta. The list also includes Laboratorio Dabiz Muñoz, Alex Cordobés, The Cookie Lab, Lhardy, Pistola, La Fábrica de los Sabores Imposibles, Culto Kebab, Kriki Pelton, Armando, Mano Santa, and Malvón. This selection makes the visit ideal for both a stroll among the food stalls and a stop for lunch or a snack.
Nuevos Ministerios Market Hours

According to the hours provided for this edition, the retail stalls will be open from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., while the food vendors will remain open until 11:00 p.m. The market will combine shopping and dining through January 5, though it will have special hours on several dates during the holiday season. On November 15 and 22, the announced hours will be from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.; on December 24 and 31, hours will be reduced to 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and on January 5, it will be open from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The market will be closed on December 25 and January 1—two dates to keep in mind before planning your visit. The market is located next to El Corte Inglés on Castellana, at 65 Raimundo Fernández Villaverde Street, near the Nuevos Ministerios station, with access to Metro lines 6, 8, and 10, as well as the Cercanías commuter rail. In previous years, the turnout has been enormous, and long lines are common.
