Once again, the 8M Commission of the feminist movement in Madrid—an umbrella organization that brings together collectives, feminist organizations, and 8M assemblies from Madrid’s neighborhoods and towns—is organizing a demonstration for Working Women’s Day in the capital: it will take place this Sunday, March 8, 2026, at 12 noon.
The march, which this year will take to the streets under the slogan “Anti-fascist feminists. We are more everywhere,” will begin in Atocha at noon, continue through Cibeles, and end at the Sevilla metro station. Those who are attending with baby strollers can join the march’s “baby block”: the meeting point will be at the Murillo statue at 11:45 a.m.
However, the event will not end at the end of the demonstration: afterwards, and until 7:30 p.m., 8M will continue at Puerta del Sol with a feminist afternoon event featuring speeches, performances, and DJ sets with artists such as La reina de los lagartos, Sara Socas, DJ Selektora Ichma, DJ Ladri, and DJ Bachman.
Parallel to the 8M Commission demonstration, in 2026 there will once again be another march called on the same day and at the same time: the trans-exclusionary march of the Madrid Feminist Movement, which will follow its own route between Cibeles and Plaza de España.
