For all this, the Swedish band deserves a tribute in Madrid, and what better than Candlelight to do it.
The series of candlelight concerts brings to the capital a tribute concert to ABBA in which professional musicians will review their greatest hits surrounded by thousands of candles. And in places as iconic as the Círculo de Bellas Artes or the Ateneo de Madrid.
Candlelight tribute to ABBA
Formed in 1972, ABBA rose to fame after winning the famous Eurovision Song Contest with their dance-pop style. A genre that developed in the last decades of the twentieth century and that the Swedish band managed to sublimate to turn their songs into summer anthems.
Now mythical songs such as Dancing Queen, Fernando or Waterloo will sound by candlelight thanks to Candlelight and the exquisite repertoire selected for this concert, on selected dates. A musical legacy that will sound with the intimate sound of live piano between the magnificent walls of the Círculo de Bellas Artes; and the warm timbre of a string quartet in the historic Ateneo de Madrid.
