“The largest themed market in Europe” is the subtitle of the traditional Cervantes Market, which has the title of Fiesta of National Tourist Interest, to the pride of the people of Alcalá de Henares and Alcalaínas. This year the event will be held from October 8 to 13, a few days during which the historic center of the city will return to the Golden Age in honor of its most illustrious neighbor: Miguel de Cervantes.
Throughout the six days of this great themed market, visitors will be able to go back 400 years in time to put themselves in the shoes of a courtier of the time. The more than 300 artisan stalls and the hundreds of daily shows scattered throughout the streets and squares of the center will contribute to this .
Also the musical atmosphere, which has one of its greatest exponents in the Celtic music festival: every night at 21h, between October 8 and 12, a group will surprise the audience with their melodies in the Walled Enclosure of the Archbishop’s Palace. This year they will be Grupo Upsala, Bras Rodrigo, Grupo Galata, Fillas de Casandra and Lume de Biqueira.

In the extensive program of this thematic market there is also a very important place reserved for history with proposals such as El Campamento de Tercio, a historical recreation with parades and demonstrations. In addition, the Huerta del Palacio Arzobispal will host cavalry tournaments.
