The countdown to Christmas has already begun and with it the search for gifts and toys. To avoid last-minute stress and get the best deals, the key is to plan and organize ahead.
The Aldi supermarket chain has already started its 2025 toy campaign and launched its new catalog last Wednesday. It seeks to offer the most affordable items on the market, with 70% of its collection at less than €10. After last year’s success, when it exceeded 100,000 sales in just one hour, the company intends to repeat the move, making available to the public more than 300 proposals at rock-bottom prices.
Wood and Montessori at low prices

Toys are indispensable for fostering children’s imagination, creativity and learning. To reach its audience, Aldi has included a total of 550 items that, according to a statement from the chain itself, “combine quality, sustainability and fun.”
The catalog is divided into four main categories of children’s play: blocks, wood, fantastic toys and the Montessori method, the educational model that promotes children’s autonomy and development through the free manipulation of materials.
Among the new designs, the Toylino 360º kitchenette stands out. It is made of wood and includes several accessories such as a ceramic hob with light and sound, a griddle, an oven tray and a recycling center.
And following the Montessori pedagogy, you can find several wooden items at very competitive prices. The wooden educational boards and the case and activity book stand out, both available for 9.99 euros each.
New every Wednesday

Aldi‘s toy catalog is not yet complete, as new products will be added every Wednesday until December 3. Thus, its more than 480 supermarkets will be receiving new products according to a thematic calendar.
The week of November 12 will focus on early childhood, with sensory and educational toys, while the week of November 19 will be dedicated to technology, construction toys and the STEAM method. The latter combines science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics in practical and creative projects.
The last deliveries will be for art, crafts and puzzles on November 26 and for textiles, books and fictional characters on December 3. This completes the children’s offerings.
The toys of our childhood

Beyond their pedagogical value, toys are a fundamental part of memory. The pieces, dolls and constructions of our childhood also remain in adult life and become a direct bridge to nostalgia.
Recently, an exhibition of the Regional Archive of the Community of Madrid has rescued the role of toy stores in childhood, with a sample of emblematic toys such as the Nancys, the Barriguitas or the Scalextric .
