All public swimming pools in Madrid this year

Officially, summer begins as soon as the solstice occurs; unofficially, when the temperature warrants a full bath in a pool of water. Regarding the latter, the public swimming pools (municipally owned and regionally owned) declared the swimming pool season started on Wednesday, May 15.

There are some differences between the municipal and regional ones: prices, capacity, reservation methods. And in this article we recap what each one is and how to book them.

Public swimming pools in the Community of Madrid

The Community pools will be open until September 5, their hours are from 11am to 8pm and the standard price is 5€ per session -although there are different types of discounts and freebies. This is the link to reserve a place and these are the pools that are available:

The public swimming pools of the Madrid City Council

The municipally owned swimming pools, on the other hand, will be open until September 8 and their schedule is from 10am to 9pm. Its price is somewhat cheaper (4.5€ the standard ticket) and it is also scalable depending on the circumstances of each person.

This year there are 20 pools open (of the 23 in the city), but to alleviate these problems and provide more areas with pools, heated pools will be opened. The booking link is this and the pools available (for now) are as follows.
