Squares turned into soccer fields and soccer fields turned into ice skating rinks. The latter is what will happen this Christmas, during which the Atleti stadium will be transformed into one of the largest ice rinks in Europe.
It will be on the occasion of Madrid On Ice, an experience that will deploy around the lawn of the Riyadh Air Metropolitano an ice skating rink with more than 4,760 m². With these dimensions, it will have the capacity to simultaneously accommodate more than 1,500 skaters.
The shifts will have a duration of 40 minutes and the ticket price is 20€. And in some of them (those taking place in the afternoon) there will be special shows with lights and music.
Schedule
- Morning shift: from 10h to 13h (shift without shows)
- Midday shift: from 13h to 16h (shift without shows)
- Afternoon shift: from 16h to 19h
- Night shift: from 7pm to 10pm
Special hours
- Christmas Eve (December 24): open in the morning and half-day shifts.
- Christmas Eve (December 25): open half day, afternoon and evening shifts.
- New Year’s Eve (December 31): open morning and half-day shift
- New Year’s Eve (January 1): open half-day, afternoon and evening shifts.

Gastro zone and other experiences
Around the ice rink there will be a gastronomic area with restaurants (El Gran Escenario, La Gradona and El Bonnano) and food stalls with fast food, churros, chocolate, crepes and Christmas sweets.
On the other hand, there will also be space for other Christmas experiences, namely:
- Santa’s Cabin (December 21-24). Santa Claus will welcome children to tell him their wishes and get to know him.
- The Three Wise Men’s Cabin (from December 25 to January 5). The Three Wise Men will receive the children so they can tell him their wishes and meet him.
- Face painting and customization workshop.
- Christmas workshops.
- Mailbox of the Three Wise Men.
