One of the Christmas plans that can never miss is ice skating. In addition to moving the mantecados and making room for the next meal, skating also allows you to bring out your most artistic streak. For all those who want to participate in one of the quintessential Christmas activities, these are the ice skating rinks that there are this year in Madrid.
1. Plaza de Colón Ice Rink
This ice rink in Colón has 800 square meters, and is named after Javier Fernández, world champion and Olympic medalist in figure skating. This is a great Christmas plan with children because there is also a merry-go-round and a flea market. In addition to enjoying the skating, with the ticket you will collaborate with Down España, thanks to the fact that 10% of the proceeds are donated to this association. It is open from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm every day.
🗓️ From November 24 to January 7.
📍 Plaza de Colón (Salamanca neighborhood).
2. Ice rink in Plaza de España
Plaza de España is the epicenter of Christmas in Madrid. In addition to a giant fir tree and a luminous nativity scene, this central space also has a large outdoor natural ice rink of 450 square meters. The opening hours are from Monday to Friday from 12:00 noon to 10:00 p.m. and on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. On December 24, 25 and January 5 closes at 18:00 h.

4. Ice rink of the Galería de Cristal (Palacio de Cibeles).
The space becomes a fairytale Christmas card: with a huge decorated tree and a 400-square-meter skating enclosure. This ice rink, the only one closed, is one of the most typical and familiar images of Christmas in Madrid. In addition, its glazed sky can not be found anywhere else in the city.
