The Bund, a lively Shanghai neighborhood, is home to a neo-baroque building that attracts painters, sculptors and designers from around the world. It is the Swatch Art Peace Hotel, the meeting place for cosmopolitan artists looking to connect with professionals in their field. There, every creator is invited to make a mark, either solo or with the collaboration of other guests.
Luckily for the people of Madrid, an exhibition has arrived at the Serrería Belga in which we can enjoy 25 works that have come out of the Shanghai program of artistic residencies. Among them, a giant sculpture of Marge Simpson created by Juan Pablo Chipe.
The works come directly from Swatch Art Peace and belong to different disciplines, from video art to painting. All are from Spanish and South American artists who have used the hotel as a source of inspiration. Spanish and South American artists who have used the hotel as a source of inspiration.
