The Italian clothing brand Benetton has announced closures of its stores around the world: the large losses it has been recording in recent years – among other factors that are analyzed in this report from elDiario.es – have led to the decision to close 500 stores around the globe.
In the case of Spain, at the beginning of January an Employment Regulation Plan (ERE) was presented, the conditions of which have been under negotiation for weeks by the trade unions UGT, CC.OO and Fetico.
This affects a total of 31 Benetton stores in our country and more than a hundred workers. Focusing on the Community of Madrid, the stores that will be forced to close are three:
- Plaza Río Shopping Center, 2. Calle de Antonio López, 109.
- Tres Aguas Shopping Center (Alcorcón). Avenida de San Martín de Valdeiglesias, 20.
- Parque Comercial Rivas Futura (Rivas-Vaciamadrid). Marie Curie Street, 4.
