The arrival of BTS’s concerts at the Estadio Metropolitano on June 26 and 27 is transforming Madrid’s cultural and leisure scene. In the days leading up to the concerts, the thousands of fans of the South Korean band traveling to the city will have access to a series of side events, including pop-up stores, themed tours, and specific transportation plans to manage the massive crowds.
Pre-event activities and city tours
Activities for fans kick off with the official Arirang in Madrid pop-up store, open from June 12 to July 5 at the TeamLabs space in Plaza de San Martín. Admission requires a prior online reservation; the maximum stay is 30 minutes, and payments are accepted exclusively by credit card. At the same time, on June 24 and 25, a pavilion in the city center will host the Armyrang Fest, an event featuring product sales, graphic art, and a café area serving Korean cuisine, accessible with the purchase of a ticket.
In addition, from June 22 to 28, the Army Route has been organized—an itinerary taking in five establishments linked to Asian culture. The route includes restaurants, cosmetics stores such as 21hermosa, and the Matik photography studio, where attendees can pick up collectible cards. These offerings are complemented by themed activities at hospitality venues such as Asoma-Té and CoCo Fresh Tea.
Logistics and Transportation at the Venue
The concerts will begin at 8:00 p.m., although the gates will open a couple of hours earlier to stagger entry. Due to stadium regulations, the show will end before 11:00 p.m. The recommended way to get there is by Metro to the Estadio Metropolitano station (Line 7), accessible via transfers at Avenida de América, Gregorio Marañón, or Canal.
The turnstiles on the transit network now allow direct payment by credit card or mobile phone, a system that speeds up access without the need to purchase a physical transit card for one-time trips. At the end of the event, to avoid crowds at the main stop, it’s a good idea to walk a few minutes to the Las Rosas (Line 2) or Canillejas (Line 5) stations. Those requesting ride-hailing services or taxis will find greater availability if they walk away from the stadium perimeter.
Access rules and restrictions
The organizers allow attendees to bring in the official Army Bomb, soft plastic water bottles of up to 500 milliliters without caps, standard-sized portable power banks, and non-aerosol sunscreen. Attendees are permitted to bring one food item, such as a sandwich or fruit wrapped in clear plastic, as well as medication, provided it is backed by a doctor’s prescription.
Professional cameras, selfie sticks, tripods, chairs, coolers, and alcoholic beverages are prohibited. Banners are permitted as long as they do not have a pole and can be folded down to A4 size. The musical events will continue with themed parties at nightlife venues, such as Independence Club on the night of the 26th and various events organized by The Asian Party Show.
