Sometimes innovating consists of recovering what was once forgotten, such as showing a silent film with live music in 2025. This is the case of the first version of the feature film La Casa de la Troya, released in 1925, which returns to the screens only one day on the occasion of its 100th anniversary. And there are still tickets to see it.
The Círculo de Bellas Artes (Calle de Alcalá, 42) will be the venue for this date with a very different way of watching cinema to what we are used to. The event begins at 19:30h with a presentation by Estíbaliz Santamaría Cadaval (PhD in Musicology), Brais González (founder of the band Caspervek) and Bárbara Sokol (audiovisual producer).
Starting at 8 pm, the film will be screened with a live performance by the band Caspervek, one of the European leaders in the field of silent film concerts, playing the music composed by González.
Tickets cost just over 12 € and can be obtained through this link. Seats are not numbered, so they will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
