It is difficult to improve on the prospect of eating a good stew and doing so in the traditional way: in its clay pot. But although it is difficult, it is not impossible: in Majadahonda, they have done so by offering it for only €3.80 as part of their IV Ruta de la Cuchara.
These gastronomic events will be held from Thursday to Sunday between February 19 and 28, 2026, in a dozen establishments where you can taste different stews in the aforementioned clay pot, designed specifically for the occasion.
As a curiosity, this decision is not solely based on aesthetics or nostalgia: the Majadahonda City Council points out that this ensures that “the quantities are identical in all establishments.”
With this event, organized in collaboration with the Majadahonda Business Circle, the Majadahonda City Council wants to support local businesses and promote the municipality’s gastronomy.

For those who need to look at the menu before going—understand this simply as a figure of speech, because each establishment participates with only one dishon the route —we detail which recipe each restaurant will serve:
- Contrast: red curry with free-range chicken thighs.
- Rocka Rolla: my sainted mother’s stew.
- Mesón Ousá: potato stew with octopus.
- Ace of Clubs: La Granja beans.
- Rafaela: chickpeas with cuttlefish.
- Jardín de la Flaca: La Granja beans with pig’s ear.
- DetapasbaR: field beans with mushrooms.
- Adri’s Tasquiña: seafood chickpea stew.
- Asentida: stewed lentils with chorizo.
- Bar Rodax: chickpeas with prawns.
- Taberna Gabriela: verdinas with baby squid and prawns.
All participating establishments also offer free parking for customers (the Gran Vía underground car park).
