Summer in Madrid is synonymous with concerts. Just take a look at the number of free recitals that will be held in the festivals of Madrid neighborhoods like Usera, the extensive lineup of Pride concerts or the long list of outdoor performances. A musical agenda that gives no respite and to which is added two tribute concerts to Luis Miguel.
They will feature some of his most memorable songs such as La Incondicional, Hasta Que Me Olvides or Suave, reinterpreted in instrumental format by a string quartet. It will be an intimate evening at the Four Seasons Hotel Madrid, for which tickets are already available.
Dates to listen to Luis Miguel’s hits this summer
The tribute to the “Sun of Mexico” has two confirmed dates: July 13 and August 9. There are still tickets available, but everything points to the July dates being sold out in a matter of weeks, so if you are interested, now is a good time to take a look and choose the seating area that suits you best.
The concerts will last 60 minutes and will be performed by the professional string quartet Parallel Quartet, which will put on stage some of Luis Miguel’s most iconic songs in a classic, elegant and soulful format (the kind he has always known how to use). A unique opportunity to relive his boleros and ballads, and to see that, even without lyrics, they continue to touch the potato.
You can check the tentative program and get tickets for the July concert here or, if you prefer, buy tickets for the August concert here.
Luis Miguel, his career and the luxury hotel hosting his tribute in Madrid
To talk about Luis Miguel is to talk about one of the essential names in Spanish music. He burst onto the scene when he was just 11 years old and, at 15, he had already won his first Grammy. Since then, he has sold more than 100 million records and has more than 120 platinum album s: an unstoppable career that for more than four decades has provided the soundtrack to beautiful love stories and painful farewells.
So now, among the upcoming concerts in Madrid, this tribute to the Puerto Rican artist will take place at the historic Palacio de la Equitativa, now converted into the exclusive Four Seasons Hotel Madrid. The building, located at the intersection of the emblematic streets of Alcalá and Sevilla, reopened its doors in 2020 after a restoration that preserved the essence of the old palace and left us more than one perfect corner to take a picture.
And if with all the above, the thing already promises, wait until you know that this tribute belongs to Candlelight, the series of live concerts surrounded by thousands of candles.
