The durum is one of those dishes that saves lives when the night comes and there is nothing at home for dinner, we have a voracious hunger and do not want to spend much (time or money) to satiate it. Typical of the Middle East and very well integrated in Europe, it already has countless versions wherever it goes. Although originally made with meat, now there are also vegan varieties, so that everyone can enjoy its intense flavor.
In Madrid, a few meters from Noviciado station, we find one of those places where durum is no longer synonymous with a dish for carnivores: Good Shit, Vegan Kebabs. This place, conceived to offer takeaway food, landed in the capital in September this year after a resounding success in Barcelona.
To celebrate the triumph of its Madrid store, Good Shit is going to distribute one hundred durums at 1€ at its premises in San Bernardino street (number 20). It will do so on Thursday, October 10 from 18:00 hours. Of course: you can only order one per person, and the offer is not valid for home delivery.
All the durums that will be distributed are made of heura, a totally vegetable ingredient (its main component is soy) with a texture very similar to meat. At Good Shit they marinate it and wrap it in pita bread with lettuce, cucumber, pickled cabbage, onion and peppers. A nutritious combination of flavors that is presented as the perfect alternative to those offered by the kebab stores to which we are accustomed.
