To talk about Honey Dijon is to talk about the living history of house music. It’s that simple. Miss Honey Dijon grew up musically in the vibrant clubbing scenes of Chicago and New York in the 80s and 90s, which connected her to the roots of the genre. In the DJ booth, she takes you on a journey. And you have to let yourself go: from groove to the most hypnotic techno or the most danceable house. A journey you can join on March 7 at Fabrik’s LOOP party. Tickets are already on sale.
A Honey Dijon is never to be missed: always proud of her African-American and queer roots, her sets are a statement of intent: occupying the booth is political. And her sessions are a celebration of memory, celebration, and community.
12 hours of house: the LOOP 4.0 lineup
In this same LOOP session (that famous Fabrik party with the slogan Sleep later Loop Now), Dijon will share the bill with Green Velvet, renowned for his unusual ability to create anthem after anthem within house and techno (with a touch of acid and those drops that make the dance floor shake).
Another name on the lineup, Francis Mercier, has sparked a new obsession on dance floors from his native Haiti: the most rebellious Afro house, a mix of organic African percussion with hypnotic melodies that will draw you into the LOOP and never let you leave.
