A big circus tent is set up in a neighborhood of Madrid: there will be 3 days of free shows and workshops

The lights dim, the show begins and culture is decentralized. The Villaverde Circus Festival installs in this Madrid district a big circus tent that will host free shows and workshops on Saturdays in October, starting this weekend.

Throughout those three days -11, 18 and 25 October-, several circus companies will take their acrobatics, juggling, balancing acts, magic and humor to different corners of the district, in an exercise to democratize access to cultural activities like this one: from San Cristóbal to Butarque and Colonia Marconi.

Not only that: they will also give workshops to share with the public some of the tricks with which they manage, paraphrasing an ex-president, to make the impossible possible -at least during the time their shows last-.

Saturday, October 11

• 12:00 h – San Cristóbal Circus Workshop (Plaza Pinazo). Initiation to the art of circus (120 min). Company: Carampa Circus School. From 7 years old – Capacity: 20 people in order of arrival.
• 12:00 h – Parque de Ingenieros Canción del Olvido with Lucero del Alba (City of Angels). Himposible (50 min). Company: David Hipola.
• 12:00 h – Suffragettes Square (Villaverde Bajo). Magic trunk ( 60 min). Company: Circo Imprevisto.
• 18:00 h – Tío Basilio Park (in front of Junta Municipal, Villaverde Alto). Madness is on board ( 45 min). Company: Karibú.
• 18:00 h – Bulevar Calle Berrocal (Butarque). Un chiflado irreverente ( 45 min). Company: Jacobo Showman.
• 18:00 h – City of Angels Park (Templete). Circus Gala (60 min). Company: Circo Imprevisto.
