It is like a reflex: summer arrives, there is talk of lavender flowering, and without any further information, our mind travels to Brihuega this Spanish Provence that we can find in Guadalajara has earned the fame that precedes it. However, this year it will not be necessary to leave the Community of Madrid to visit purple fields at sunset, because a town in the region has organized the first edition of a lavender festival.
The town in question – whose population does not reach 1,000 inhabitants, according to the latest data from the National Statistics Institute (INE) – is Pezuela de las Torres, located in La Alcarria Madrileña.
And this 2024 has announced the first edition of the festival ‘Aroma de la Alcarria Madrileña’, which will be held on June 22 from 20h to 00h and will feature a Program of activities designed for all tastes and age requirements.
