The FIBA Basketball Champions League is a European-wide tournament that brings together the continent’s top teams. The 2026 edition is entering its final stretch: we now know the four finalists, including two Spanish clubs (Unicaja and La Laguna Tenerife). What you need to know about the BCL Final Four
Two ACB League teams, Unicaja Málaga (the reigning BCL champion) and La Laguna Tenerife, have reached European glory by qualifying for the BCL Final Four. They will face off against two European powerhouses, Rytas Vilnius ( Lithuania) and AEK BC (Greece). The team that missed out at the last minute was Asisa Joventut, which fought until the very end for a spot in a final it would have played at home, but this time it wasn’t meant to be.
A Spanish final is quite likely, given the strong performances both ACB teams have delivered throughout the Basketball Champions League. Furthermore, both have historically done well in the tournament, with two wins each, compared to one for AEK BC and none for Rytas Vilnius, which could be the big surprise of this edition.
