The 2026 San Antonio de la Florida Festival now has an official date and program: it will be held from June 11 to 14, 2026, kicking off the series of summer festivals in the capital that will take place over the coming months. And over the course of those four days, some thirty activities will take place across various venues.
The epicenter of the recreational activities will be, once again, Parque de la Bombilla (Avenida de Valladolid, 4). There, on Thursday the 11th, you can attend the distribution of limoná chipén by the Federation of Traditional Madrid Groups (from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.) or the performance by Deltó, a tribute to Extremoduro, at 8:45 p.m.
On Friday the 12th, starting at 8:30 p.m., the esplanade in front of the bandstand will become the main stage, featuring concerts by the neighborhood band La Mole (8:30 p.m.), Modestia Aparte (10 p.m.), and DJ Fonsi at 11:30 p.m.
The Pin Ceremony of the San Antonio de la Florida Festival

Saturday the 13th, Saint Anthony’s Day, will be the highlight of the celebrations, with a greater focus on religious ceremonies and the popular traditions surrounding this date. Thus, starting at 7:00 a.m., the Escenario Ermitas (San Antonio Gazebo, s/n) will host Masses throughout the day (8:00 a.m., 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 5:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m., and 8:00 p.m.). The church will remain open until 11:00 p.m.
From 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., the distribution of San Antonio breads (previously blessed) will take place, along with the most distinctive and time-honored tradition of this festival: the ritual of the pins. This is a custom that, according to legend, was started by seamstresses looking for a partner.
The tradition involves the city’s single men and women throwing 13 pins into a basin of holy water, placing their palms over them, and the number of pins that stick to their hands indicates the number of suitors they will have during the year.
Continuing with the program, the High Mass will be held at 12 p.m., followed by a procession through the neighborhood streets at 1 p.m. Between 7:30 p.m. and 11 p.m., there will be a mini festival in front of the chapel.
The rest of the program: from a community paella to fireworks

On June 14, the final day of the festivities, is known as “Día Castizo”: Parque de la Bombilla will host children’s activities, a community paella at 2:00 p.m., a distribution of churros and hot chocolate at 8:00 p.m., and at midnight, the 2026 San Antonio de la Florida Festival will conclude with fireworks.
At the same time, in the Ermitas neighborhood, you can enjoy a parade by the Federation of Traditional Madrid Groups from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and dancing to a barrel organ from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
In addition to all of the above, there will be sports tournaments in indoor soccer, basketball, tennis, and pickleball , and every Saturday in June from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., open house events at the Florida Cemetery organized by the Philanthropic Society of Veteran National Militiamen (SFMNV).
