The closure of FNAC Callao will come in just 24 hours: the French company has announced this Friday, through a statement, that it will close its doors to the public this January 11 temporarily on the occasion of a remodeling that will transform the building.
According to the information provided by the company, which has been reproduced by several media such as Cinco DĂas, these actions are aimed at “improving the consumer experience”. And although the intention to carry out these works has been known for some years, the expectation was that the store -located in this enclave since 1993- would remain open during the process.
The result of the refurbishment will reduce the company’s presence from around 7,000 square meters to around 4,000 square meters, 70% of which will be used for retail space. This will make way for new stores and a new restaurant offering within the building. On the other hand, this iconic enclave of the brand is expected to reopen during the last four months of 2025.
What does the closure of FNAC Callao mean for customers?
For those who have placed an online order with FNAC before this Saturday with the option to pick it up at this store and have not received it at the time of the closure, the company says that they should go to the store it has on Calle Goya (Calle de Goya, 42). It will also be there where exchanges and returns will be carried out.
