Free buses and reinforcement of up to 20 additional vehicles in the areas of highest demand on November 28, 29 and 30, 2025. The Municipal Transport Company (EMT) has announced that its buses will once again be free for users during the three days of Black Friday.
The City Council of the capital will activate the measure between 00h on Friday and until 23:59 hours on Sunday. In this way, travelers will be able to validate their transport ticket (without reducing the number of trips available).
If they do not have one, they can simply ask the driver for a single ticket free of charge. The Airport Express line, as usual on these occasions, will not be subject to free service.
Which bus lines will be reinforced?
Since the forecast of increased demand is related to the commercial activity of Black Friday, the afternoon schedule will have greater reinforcements in the case of the following bus lines: the 5, 14, 18, 19, 21, 26, 27, 30, 35, 53, 53, 77, 128, 146, 150, 152, E1, E2 and E3.
During the afternoon of Friday 28, the offer will be increased in ten of them with an additional bus in each one, while on Saturday 29 the number of vehicles will increase to twenty additional ones. Finally, on Sunday 30, fourteen more buses will be added.
Reinforcements also in the subway
The underground will also have a reinforcement that the Community of Madrid describes as “historic”, in order to “facilitate the mobility of the citizens of Madrid in the areas of greatest commercial and leisure activity”.
The mobility plan started early this Friday, with an increase of up to 75% in lines 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 10, 12 and ML1 both in the morning and afternoon, according to the regional government.
Next weekend is expected to see the highest volume of passengers of the year in Metro: on Friday 28th the service will be reinforced on L1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 10, 12 and ML1 from the opening and on Saturday and Sunday the increase of trains will be maintained from 11 am until closing.
This Saturday, November 22, by the way, L7B reopens after more than a thousand days of works.
BiciMad service also free of charge

The public bicycle lending service BiciMad will also join these three free days, for all trips up to 30 minutes long.
