To return from a verbena or to go to another. The reason is secondary, but its use with the dates fits. The Youth Card now offers two €10 discount vouchers to move around Madrid by cab, bicycle, scooter, electric scooter and car sharing. The proposal is the result of an agreement between the Community of Madrid, through the Youth Card, and the mobility platform FreeNow.
20 € discount for new users

The campaign, active from summer 2025, offers a €20 discount spread over two journeys (€10 each) to all young people aged between 14 and 30 who have the Carné Joven – regardless of whether they are from the Community of Madrid or any other region. The benefit applies to cab services, bicycles, scooters, electric scooters and shared cars available on the app.
The only requirement, in addition to being a cardholder, is that the user is new to FreeNow, i.e. has not previously made any trip through the platform. In addition, the discount is not valid for company accounts.
The process to activate the code is simple: just enter the Youth Card membership number -a 16-digit sequence approved at European level- on the official website of the promotion. Once activated, the young person has 30 days to use the two discounted journeys, and the campaign will remain in force until December 31, 2025.
How to get the Youth Card and take advantage of the promotion
To access this and other benefits, it is essential to have the Youth Card, a free card aimed at young residents in the Community of Madrid -and other communities. It can be requested online or at any of the Youth Offices in the region. The current version of the card also includes a digital format, compatible with mobile devices, which facilitates its day-to-day use.
For years, the Youth Card has been used as a passport to access discounts not only in Madrid, but also in more than 30 European countries that are members of the EYCA (European Youth Card Association) network. According to data from the Community itself, in October 2024 there were already more than 660,000 young people in Madrid who had it.
