To the list of parks and gardens verde in Madrid, from this month there is the possibility of visiting other -private- gardens that, for the first time, open to the public this summer: the historic gardens of the Palacio de Liria (Calle de la Princesa, 20), in French and English styles.
During the summer months -between June and August- guided tours will be offered to provide a “detailed view of the landscape design and botanical variety of the site,” according to the Casa de Alba Foundation.
A place that throughout its history has been taking shape by the hand of figures such as Ventura Rodriguez, Forestier, Sabatini and the Dukes of Alba themselves.
Hours and ticket prices to visit the gardens
The tours, which last approximately 30 minutes, will be held Tuesday through Sunday during the months of June, July and August. It will be at the following times:
- June: at 10:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m
- July: at 10:15 am and at 10:30 am
- August: in selected shifts throughout the day
As for the price, the ticket to visit the gardens costs 7€. If in addition to visiting the gardens you also want to visit the palace, the price of the general ticket is 23 € and 19 € in the case of the reduced rate.
