Madrid is becoming fashionable among Hollywood celebrities. One of the most versatile movie actresses in the film industry, Julianne Moore, has proved it in her latest chat with hosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, of the famous American program Live. The star has declared that she loves the Salamanca neighborhood, especially one of the shopping centers that the area is home to: El Corte Inglés.
Known for having given life to the creepy mother in Carrie (2013), Linda Partridge in Magnolia (1999) and the erotic artist in The Big Lebowski (1998) among many other characters (she has participated in more than seventy films), Moore has become an Almodóvar girl this year with her role in The Next Room, a first contact with Spanish cinema that took the actress on a visit to the capital.

Julianne Moore explained for Live that, during the months of filming with Almodóvar, she stayed in the Salamanca neighborhood, very close to El Corte Inglés, which is already known in the United States for being her favorite shopping mall. “At the bottom it has a supermarket like no other in the world. I was there much longer than I should have been. You can buy fish, flowers, bread, frozen foods…. It’s very entertaining,” Moore explained to the presenters.
Moore has spoken about El Corte Inglés in more than one interview. On Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live, he again showed his fascination with the variety of products in the department store.
