Aranjuez is preparing to celebrate the 2026 Fiestas del Motín de Aranjuez, which have been declared a Festival of International Tourist Interest. For an event of this magnitude, the program has been designed accordingly, and the artists who will headline the free concert lineup have now been announced.
La Pegatina, Jaime Urrutia (Gabinete Caligari), and Coti will perform on September 4 and 5, headlining the main musical performances. They will be joined by orchestras, DJs, and tribute bands.
The free concerts will take place at various venues throughout the city, namely: Plaza de San Antonio (Mariblanca), Plaza de la Constitución, Calle de las Infantas, and Raso de la Estrella—the latter offering greater capacity and designed for nightlife events.

A festival steeped in history
The festivities will take place from September 2 to 6, 2026, and—as they have every year since 1981—will commemorate and reenact one of the most important episodes in Madrid’s history: the Aranjuez Mutiny of March 1808, which led to the end of Charles IV’s reign and the subsequent beginning of Spanish constitutionalism.
According to the city government, the full festival program will be announced in the coming days; it typically includes cultural, traditional, sporting, children’s, and institutional activities.
Among all these events, one of the most unique is the “Pirate Descent of the Tajo,” a water parade in which each participant builds the boat they’ll race in—and which surprises everyone every year with its original and fun designs.
