For four days—from July 1 through July 4— residents of Madrid’s Justicia neighborhood will be able to park for free in both green and blue parking spaces in any other neighborhood of the city included in the Regulated Parking Area listed in Annex I of the Madrid City Council’s Sustainable Mobility Ordinance.
This exceptional measure—approved by decree of the Delegate of the Department of Urban Planning, Environment, and Mobility in connection with the parking restrictions during the MADO Madrid Pride 2026 event— will be in effect from 9:00 a.m. on July 1 through 3:00 p.m. on July 4.
To take advantage of this measure, by the way,“no action will be required at parking meters or through mobile apps,” the city council has clarified. The decision affects all SER users in this neighborhood, including those with a valid resident parking permit.
This decision was made to“address the inconveniences”that the temporary suspension of the general Regulated Parking Service in their neighborhood may cause residents.
Traffic closures in the Justicia neighborhood, by street
Traffic restrictions resulting from MADO will affect the Justicia neighborhood from 4:00 p.m. on July 1 until 11:59 p.m. on July 5, 2026. During this period, no vehicles of any kind may park within the security perimeter, which is bounded by Hortaleza Street, Fernando VI Street, Bárbara de Braganza Street, Paseo de Recoletos, Alcalá Street, and Gran Vía.
Specifically, these are the 29 streets affected:
- Calle de la Reina.
- Calle de las Infantas from Calle de Hortaleza to Calle del Barquillo.
- Calle de San Marcos from Calle de Hortaleza to Calle del Barquillo.
- Piamonte Street.
- Calle Marqués del Monasterio.
- Calle San Lucas.
- Travesía de San Mateo from Calle de Hortaleza to Calle Pelayo.
- Calle Belén.
- Calle del Barquillo.
- Calle del Marqués de Valdeiglesias.
- Víctor Hugo Street.
- Calle del Clavel.
- Calle Colmenares.
- Calle Libertad.
- San Bartolomé Street.
- Costanilla de Capuchinos Street.
- Calle Pelayo.
- Tamayo y Baus Street.
