The good weather or the respite from the heat that the night gives merits the celebration of outdoor plans. And one of the most popular in the middle of summer is the one that takes the movies out of the theaters and puts them in the squares. Summer is almost here and consequently so are the summer movie theaters.
In the context of Plazas Vivas the City Council, an initiative of the Municipal Board to recover coexistence and public spaces through culture, will hold film screenings every Friday in June in two squares in the Madrid district of Lavapiés.
The squares in question are La Corrala -also called La Corrala de sombrerete, which is between Sombrerete and Tribulete and has a patio open to Mesón de paredes- and Nelson Mandela.
what films will be shown?
The films to be screened (all of them will always be at 9 pm) will be the following and in these locations:

what is Plazas Vivas?
Plazas Vivas, which aims to promote outdoor activities, is a Program that has been developed during the months of May and June. The activities are multiple and range from music to art, including children’s games and the aforementioned film screenings.
Many of the events have already ended, but some of the free proposals that remain are, for example, traditional Madrid dances on June 14, 16 and 23 at the Puerta Cerrada square. You can consult the Program in this link.
