The traditional French “déballage”markets, where antiques and vintage items can be purchased directly from dealers’ trucks or vans, have their equivalent in Madrid: the Gran Desembalaje de Las Rozas, a major home decor event that will bring together 150 antique dealers from all over Spain, France, and Portugal for two days only.
The eighth edition of this event for lovers of antiques and collecting will take place in a large open-air space covering 15,000 square meters, which, according to the organizers, will be “packed with charming furniture and objects.”
Among the items that have been found at previous editions are rugs, paintings, tiles, chairs, water jugs and ceramics, tables, tableware, vases, lamps, mirrors, vintage radios, maps, trunks, vintage toys… and all kinds of furniture and decorative items.
In short, it’s a date to mark on the calendar for anyone who loves interior design and home decor and can see the potential and possibilities of antique items that can be given a second life.
