This Saturday, June 13, Leganés invites you to discover the best local products from the Community of Madrid through the second edition of its Agri-Food Market: an ideal opportunity to connect directly with local producers, without intermediaries, and take home all kinds of items to stock your pantry.
This market featuring local products from Madrid will be held on Saturday in the Plaza de la Policía Nacional, next to the Fuente de la Luna, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Those who visit this location will have the opportunity to sample and purchase local foods such as honey, beer, garden produce, meats, wines, cured meats, oils, cheeses, and sweets.
Among the brands participating in this edition are Madrid Miel, Cerveza La Cibeles, Mi Vergel, Alegría de la Huerta, Oohlalá Bistró, Masa & Miga, and Zukukis, in addition to other Madrid-based companies.
With this initiative, said José Marín, Councilor for Commerce and Local Development, the goal is “something very simple yet very important: to bring local products closer to our residents and extend this initiative to more neighborhoods in the city.”
Activities at the Leganés Local Products Market

In addition to the stalls run by local producers, the market will feature a program of activities for all ages, such as a wine tasting featuring wines with the Madrid Designation of Origin.
For children between the ages of five and twelve, there will be a workshop on horticulture and sustainable food production, where they will learn concepts related to soil preparation, planting, composting, and responsible farming.
In addition, the Patricia Domenech Dance Academy and Dreamers Dance Studio will participate with performances to liven up the day and enrich the leisure offerings for both residents and visitors.
