Being over 65 years old in the Community of Madrid has multiple advantages: from free travel throughout the transport network of the region with the Abono +65 to access a wide range of services and products at reduced or free cost through the Madrid Mayor card.
This card, which is free of charge, allows cardholders -and their spouses- to enjoy sociocultural activities and workshops held in the 91 Municipal Senior Citizen Centers in Madrid, as well as other advantages such as reductions on sports passes for municipal sports facilities.
Depending on the address where the applicant is registered , he/she will be assigned a Municipal Center for the Elderly (CMM) or another one to which the card will be associated. In this link you can check the correspondence between address and CMM.
Advantages of the Madrid Mayor card in museums and stores.

The card not only provides benefits in municipal facilities, but also goes further and, in a similar way to what happens with the Youth Card for children under 31, there are other institutions and establishments that offer advantages when presenting the card.
This is the case, for example, of museums such as the Prado, the Thyssen or the Wax Museum, whose entrance has a reduced price for these users. And in others, such as the Reina Sofía or the Museum of Natural Sciences, admission is free.
On the other hand, outside the cultural scene, other types of neighborhood stores and establishments such as pharmacies, opticians and private medical centers are also included.
