Christmas in Madrid can sound like many things besides the Burrito Sabanero or the most traditional Christmas carols if you know where to go. And, as every year, one of the best options is to attend the festival Grandes del Góspel del Fernán Gómez. Centro Cultural de la Villa ( Plaza de Colón, 4).
After breaking attendance records in the 2024 edition, the festival returns from November 28 to December 13, 2025 to the Guirau Hall with a program that brings together groups from different corners, such as the circuit of black churches in the southern United States or New Orleans.
The expectation generated every year by this event -which this year reaches 31 editions- can be understood from specific data such as the fact that the traditional Oh Madrid Happy Day, scheduled for December 6 and performed by the Madrid Gospel Choir, has already sold out.
Gospel 2025 Greats Program
- Chicago Mass Choir presents Sweet Home Chicago.
- Dates: November 8, 29, 30 and December 2, 3 and 5 at 8 pm.
- South Carolina Gospel Choir presents Michael Jackson Happy Days.
- Dates: December 4, 6 and 7 at 8 pm. On December 7 there will be a double performance: at 5:30 pm and 8 pm.
- Charleston Gospel Choir presents Every Sunday.
- Dates: December 9, 10 and 11 at 8 pm.
- Sono Gospel Choir Spirit of Gospel Tour
- Dates: December 12 and 13. Double performance both days: the first at 17:30h and the second at 20h.
