Since last night, night shift workers at Madrid airport have a new transport alternative. This is the N32 bus, which will charge the same fare as other EMT municipal lines and will operate every day of the week.
This new night bus connects the Avenida de América interchange with terminals 1, 2, 3, and 4 of the airport, which will make it easier to get around than it was before, when people had to take a car or taxi.
With this service, the Madrid transport company is responding to the demands of employees who wanted another option for getting to the airport other than the N27 express line, which departs from Atocha and costs €5 per trip.
How the N32 works

The N32 will run every 35 minutes from Sunday to Thursday and every 17-18 minutes on Fridays and Saturdays. This will ensure service coverage throughout the night, with departures from Avenida de América from 12:15 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. and, in the opposite direction, from 12:10 a.m. to 5:25 a.m.
The bus will take the A-2 to make an intermediate stop in Canillejas. The next stops will be at terminals 1, 2, and 3 of the airport, and it will continue along Avenida de Logroño until it reaches T4. In total, there will be seven stops, which will increase to eight on the return journey from the airport to the city.
The success of the night network

There are currently 31 night bus routes connecting the city center with different neighborhoods. In 2023, Madrid City Council increased its commitment to night buses, and since then, passenger numbers have increased by almost 30% according to council data.
Every day, an average of 20,000 people use this service, which facilitates mobility at night. Although the N32 has just joined the network, it already has more than 50 years of history.
Since its inception in 1974, the night bus lines have undergone expansions, reinforcements, reorganizations, and the creation of new lines. As a result, they have adapted to different demands.
