This weekend, Shakira will bring her “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour” to Madrid. Her stay in the capital will last for four weekends, from September 18 through October 11. In total, the Colombian artist will perform 12 concerts at the Iberdola Music venue , temporarily transformed into Macondo Park, “a parallel city within Madrid.”
The choice of name (a reference to the literary world of Gabriel García Márquez) is significant; the enormous themed venue is set to host, in addition to Shakira’s concerts, activities related to other disciplines beyond music: literature, film, gastronomy, fashion, visual arts, dance…

Thus, attendees at Shakira’s European residency will be able to participate in a broader cultural program (curated by the artist herself) before her performance, which will include food and beverage areas, concerts on a second stage featuring various guest artists—including Amaia, Guitarricadelafuente, and Nathy Peluso—as well as meetings with authors such as Rosa Montero, Marta Jiménez Serrano, and Lana Corujo.
The full program of activities (included in the project the artist has called “ES LATINA”) is exclusively for those with tickets to her show at the Shakira Stadium. Only they will be able to access the eight themed pavilions at Macondo Park, and, inside the venue, access to the Garden Area and the Terrace Area will be restricted to attendees with VIP tickets.
Entrances to Macondo Park

The Iberdrola Music venue, where Macondo Park has been built, is located south of Villaverde Alto and is expected to welcome around 57,000 attendees each concert day. The Madrid City Council has recommended using public transportation rather than private vehicles to get to and from the area and has announced the launch of free shuttle buses to Atocha and increased service on Metro lines 3 and 12.
The main pedestrian entrance to Macondo Park will be on Laguna Dalga Street, across from numbers 36–38, at the intersection with Laguna de Cameros Street. There will also be secondary entrances on either side of the main entrance ( also on Laguna Dalga Street)— one for VIP guests and people with limited mobility , and another for the general public, people with limited mobility, and staff involved in event logistics.
On the first weekend of Shakira’s residency (September 18, 19, and 20), the Macondo Park venue is expected to finally open its doors at 3:30 p.m. Activities will begin around 4:00 p.m. in the various pavilions, a few hours before access to the Shakira Stadium is granted.
The Shakira Stadium: Sections and Door Opening Times

Inside Macondo Park, the Shakira Stadium is divided into different sections. At the front of the general admission area, closest to the stage, are Front Stage A and B (with tickets priced higher than those for the general admission area).
There are also two elevated areas with prime views of the show: the Garden and the Terrace, each corresponding to a different VIP package. VIP ticket holders will also enjoy priority access (no lines at the gates) and an exclusive pass to the Front Stage A area.
The general public will be seated in the rest of the field and the bleachers. The gates to Shakira Stadium for each section will open at 6:30 p.m. The show will begin around 8:30 p.m. and end around 11:00 p.m.; all activities at Macondo Park will conclude at 12:15 a.m.
These are the confirmed schedules for the first weekend; for the remaining concert days, Live Nation has indicated that the schedules will be similar and will be announced in advance. As part of its special traffic management plan, the Madrid City Council anticipates that the gradual evacuation of Macondo Park will take place between 11:00 p.m. (when Shakira’s show ends) and 1:00 a.m.
