Free musical performances, mariachis, an altar of the dead and drink with tapa for 6 euros. This is the proposal of the Prosperity Market, which celebrates the Feast of the Dead from October 30 to November 2, 2025.
Following the Mexican tradition, this market located in the Prosperidad neighborhood (Chamartín district) will be filled with colors, symbols of the Day of the Dead and a festive photocall. The altar of the dead will be open from 6:00 pm until 11:00 pm, except on Sunday when the market closes at 4:00 pm. Admission is free and each day there will be different musical performances.
Eighties music, rancheras and a tribute to the Ramones.

The Prosperidad market will be open on Thursday and Friday from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm (except the Paellamar gastro stall which opens only at noon). On Saturday and Sunday it will open its doors at 13:00 hours, closing on Saturday at 23:30 and Sunday at 16:00 hours.
The musical program is quite varied, with groups of different styles. On Thursday 30, the Mariachis will start playing at 20:00 hours, while on Friday 31, 80’s music will be played by DJ Barker at 21:00 hours. On Saturday at 2:00 p.m., the Mariachis will return and in the evening, at 9:00 p.m., will be the concert of Ratones, a tribute to the Ramones.
Tapas for the Day of the Dead

The diversity for the Fiesta de los Muertos will not only be musical, but also gastronomic. The Prosperity Market has 32 different stalls, with products from all over the world that combine traditional and newly created food.
You can taste from gourmet cheeses to hot dogs, Mexican tacos or authentic Italian focaccia. A list of the different establishments is available on the market’s website. During the days of the event, each establishment will offer a unique tapa with a drink for 6 euros.
How to get to this Halloween plan

The Prosperidad Market is located at Calle López de Hoyos, 81 in Madrid, in the Chamartín district. The closest metro is Prosperidad (line 4) and other options are Cruz del Rayo (line 9), Alfonso XIII (line 4) and Cartagena (line 7).
With its Day of the Dead Festival, this small market joins the list of Halloween plans. It also allows to know another altar of the dead different from the traditional one at the Casa de México in Madrid.
