Metro de Madrid will extend service on Line 3 until 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 1, but the measure will have one important restriction: between 1:30 a.m. and 3:00 a.m., passengers will only be able to board at Villaverde Alto.
The additional service has been designed to facilitate the departure of attendees from the Halloween Takeover Madrid Festival, which will be held on Saturday, October 31, at Iberdrola Music in Villaverde. Once on the train, passengers will only be able to get off at Legazpi, Embajadores, and Sol.
For leaving the festival only
The Metro’s regular schedule ends at 1:30 a.m. From then on, Line 3 will operate as an evacuation service: passengers will not be able to board at Legazpi, Embajadores, or Sol, nor will they be able to use the trains to travel between those stations. The rest of the line’s stops will also not be part of this service.
The festival will end at 2:00 a.m., and the crowd is expected to disperse until 2:45 a.m. Since the city’s plan does not specify the frequency or the time of the last departure, it would be wisest not to wait until the very end.
Service disruptions in Villaverde during the afternoon and early morning
The venue will open at 2:00 p.m. and will be located in the area around Laguna Dalga and Avenida Real de Pinto. The City Council recommends arriving by public transportation and has planned traffic closures for private vehicles from 1:00 p.m. on Saturday until 3:00 a.m. on Sunday on Laguna Dalga, Laguna de Cameros, San Erasmo, and Valle de Tobalina.
There will be no general parking available for attendees. Ride-hailing services (VTCs) may only pick up customers with pre-booked rides at the designated pickup point at the intersection of Valle de Tobalina and San Ezequiel.
