
The festival season in Madrid, is it eternal? In the capital we have almost 5 months of outdoor music and, the rest of the year, festivals that unfold in halls, stadiums, arenas, where we see in one day our favorite groups, discover new ones and nostalgically revisit some of the bands of our past.

Summer festivals in Madrid
Sound Isidro Vibra Mahou (April, May and June)
As every year, the venues of Madrid are filled for three months of live music with the eleventh edition of Sound Isidro Vibra Mahou, a concert series with a clear commitment to emerging music, always in search of national and international talents that are setting the rules of the game. Although it is not yet known.
Venues such as El Sol, La Riviera, the BUT, Copernico, Clamores, Maravillas, La Palma… host bands like Confeti de odio, Morreo, The Murder Capital, Joe Crepúsculo, Jarfaiter, Yawners…

KALORAMA Madrid (June 20 and 21)
Returns. The second edition of KALORAMA Madrid is going to happen: it will be for two days, June 20 and 21, in a new location and with the line-up already closed. The Magic Box will host bands like Pet Shop Boys, Jorja Smith, Azealia Banks, Father John Misty, The Flaming Lips, Scissor Sisters, Alizzz, BADBADNOTGOOD, Boy Harsher, L’Impératrice, Maria Arnal, Model/Actriz, Bloodstein, El Buen Hijo, Irenegarry, Laura Sam, La Plata and PUTOCHINOMARICÓN.

A Summer Story (June 20 and 21)
Strategically timed for the end of university students’ exams and on the summer solstice, A Summer Story is the paradise of electronic music. Two days of electronic music with confirmed artists such as Fatima Hajji, Amelie Lens, Afrojack, Hector Oaks, Brian Cross, Hardwell, Reinier Zonneveld, Alignment, Daria Kolosova…

Botanical Nights (June and July)
We say it unequivocally: it’s our favorite. How could it not be. Summer, inside the Royal Botanical Garden Alfonso XIII of the Complutense University of Madrid. In a green, natural, fresh environment, surrounded by trees, the breeze blows through the crowd to see bands like MORRISEY (hello, is this real life?), Parcels, Roxette, Califato 3/4, Zahara, Air, Lori Meyeres, Parov Stelear, Max Richter, Beth Gibbons, Santana on a double date?

Boombastic Day Edition Madrid (June 27)
Fuenlabrada City Council has just announced the inauguration of a new space: its brand new Fair Park. And as the first event, a one-day festival dedicated to urban music. Boombastic Day Edition will be held on June 27 with Mar Lucas, Luck Ra, Hens and many more.

Santander SMusic Festival 2025
A new festival in the summer of Villaverde with Maná, Peso Pluma, Orishas, Cupido, Delaporte, Airbag and Amparanoia.

Puro Latino Madrid Fest (June 27th and 28th)
Latin music, reggaeton but also trap and hip hop come together in communion for two days with artists like Bad GyalLatin music, reggaeton, trap and hip-hop and that this year features artists like Bad Gyal, Ozuna or Eladio Carrión.

Festival Rio Babel 2025 (July 4 and 5)
Wow, what a line-up. This year’s Rio Babel is a look at the bands that have marked a before and after in the world of national and global hip hop. Are we exaggerating? Two names: Kase. O and Cypress Hill. And they are joined by a heterogeneous lineup of artists such as Estopa, Madness, Yerai Cortés, Rawayana…

Block Party Arganzuela (July 5th)
The quintessential Arganzuela neighborhood festival: a gathering of neighbors to celebrate with music and delicious sandwiches (every year, there is a contest of the most elaborate because yes, because here you can and must bring your sandwich to show off the best culinary skills of the sandwich). This year, The Lemon Twigs, The Mystery Lights and Way and the Arrrghs will be playing !!!!

Festival ALMA Occident Madrid (from June 19 to July 2)
The Tierno Galván park will once again be the stage for the magical musical nights of the ALMA Occident Madrid Festival. So far, we have confirmed artists such as Camila Cabello, Residente, Alan Parsons Live Project, Wilco, Los Tigres del Norte or The Corrs.

Mad Cool Festival (from July 10 to 12)
Mad Cool returns with an im-pre-sio-nant lineup that mixes all kinds of genres and styles with artists of very high cache such as Olivia Rodrigo, Kings of Leon, Noah Kahan, Alanis Morissette, Gracie Abrams, Iggy Pop and Justice.

Pulse of Gaia (September 20)
The mysterious new festival that will bring Gorillaz live to Madrid has us in awe. For starters, we know that it has the quality seal of Zamna, a collective that organizes parties all over the world with an immersive perspective, from Tulum to a Madrid highway? What we know, for the moment, of Pulse of Gaia is the first headliner, to be held on September 20 at kilometer 15 of the M-607.

Reggaeton Beach Festival (July 19 and 20)
In Madrid there is no beach until a festival creates it: Reggaeton Beach Festival returns for another edition with a lineup honoring the best of urban and reggaeton music, of course. At the moment, Justin Quiles, Chencho Coreleone, Noriel and Luar La L are confirmed.

Madrid Live Experience (from September 24 to 30)
Crystal Fighters, Pedro Guerra and Javier Ruibal, Las Migas and Marlon (plus family shows by Pica Pica and Fetén Fetén Fetén) are the first confirmed for the now classic Madrid Live Experience concert series.

Winter festivals in Madrid
Inverfest (May, October and November)
This concert series has it all: pop, rock, flamenco, classical music and probably some genre that has not yet been invented. This edition of Inverfest is already coming to an end and turning around until next winter, with dates skipped on the calendar such as Mr. Zoom on May 30 at La Sala de Movistar Arena; on October 3, Bala and Angelus Apatrida; on November 26 with Él mató a un policía motorizado; O’Funk’Illo on December 26… and the first confirmations of 2026, with Valeria Castro, J. Abecia and Sexy Zebras. All info here.

Primavera Bits by Nisa (June 8)
We can’t avoid mentioning the festival of festivals, the mother of them all. Primavera Sound with a lineup crowned by three queens: Chappell Roan, Charli XCX and Sabrina Carpenter.
The festival has just announced the sold out in both season tickets and day tickets but … do not stop dreaming: there are still tickets for the closing party on Sunday, which will be more than epic. A day of electronica with Paul Kalkbrenner, Michael Bibi, Carlita, Bunt and Ona.

Azkena Rock Festival, in Vitoria (June 19, 20 and 21)
Manic Street Preachers, The Flaming Lips, P.I.L, Buzzcocks, Quique González, Dead Kennedys… Azkena Rock Festival (or ARF, for the connoisseurs) is one of those unmissable festivals if your thing is antlers, leather jackets and rock. A poster that this 2025 is full of big stars and pearls like Quique Gonzalez or Derby Motoreta’s Burrito Kachimba.

Bilbao BBK Live (July 11th to 13th)
Bilbao BBK Live is a must for indies, but its line-up is also brimming with pop, rock and electronica. Located in a unique natural setting in Bilbao, it closes its line-up with artists from an eclectic (how to say?) scene: Damiano David, Sparks, Kylie Minogue, Pulp, Amaia, Bad Gyal, Michael Kiwanuka, Nathy Peluso, Orbital, Polo & Pan, BICEP and many more.
