The festival season in Madrid, is it eternal? In the capital we have almost 5 months of outdoor music and, the rest of the year, festivals that unfold in halls, stadiums, arenas, where we can see in one day our favorite bands, discover new ones and revisit with nostalgia some of the bands of our past.
Among all the music festivals in Madrid, we leave you here a list of the most relevant ones, including a wish list with some musical escapades.
Don’t Let Daddy Know (February 8)
Prepare the most comfortable slippers you have because Don’t Let Daddy Know lands in Madrid in less than a month. Dimitri Vegas, Morten, Matisse & Sadko b2b Third Party, Nervo, Oliver Heldens and Robin Schulz are the announced Don’t Let Daddy Know, literally the top of the best DJs in the world according to Dj Mag the last decade.

Inverfest (January and February 2025)
This concert series has it all: pop, rock, flamenco, classical music and probably some genre that hasn’t been invented yet. From Coque Malla to Judeline, there is a plan for every music lover who wants to start the year with a good rhythm. RIVERLAND Warm Up (March 29)
What a year we are going to spend going to Humanes all the time . Fabrik is on fire this 2025 and one of the most anticipated parties is the warm up of the Riverland festival (an Asturian classic) that on March 29 will take place in the epic party room. The line-up? Pure fuegote: Albany, Disobey, Rojuu, María Escarmiento, Mushka, NSQK, El Malilla, Juicy Bae, Leïti, Metrika, Mvrk, Pablo Chill-E, Sin Nombre and DJ sets by Amygdala, Kabasaki, Las Verdunch, Parkineos, Selecta, Skinyz and Tasuik.

Tomavistas Festival (from May 29 to 31)
Tomavistas returns loaded with good vibes and fresh sounds for lovers of independent music. With artists such as Mala Rodríguez, Judeline and Mogwai, this festival is perfect for those looking to discover new bands without having to leave Madrid.

Love the 90s Festival (June 14)
Who said the 90s were out of fashion? Love the 90s takes you back to the days of tamagotchis with a lineup full of icons of the era: Cristian Varela, Rebeca, La Guardia, Tam Tam Go, King Africa, Seguridad Social… you get lost and it seems like you’re watching a new season of Cachitos.

A Summer Story (June 20 and 21)
Strategically timed for the end of university students’ exams and on the summer solstice, A Summer Story is the paradise of electronic music. Two days of electronic music with the first confirmed artists already revealed as Hardwell, Reinier Zonneveld, Alignment, Daria Kolosova, Nicky Romero, Joyse and Quintino.

Botanical Nights (June and July)
We say it unequivocally: it’s our favorite. How could it not be. Summer, inside the Royal Botanical Garden Alfonso XIII of the Complutense University of Madrid. In a green, natural, fresh environment, surrounded by trees, the breeze blows through the crowd to see bands like Zahara, Air, Lori Meyeres, Parov Stelear, Max Richter, Beth Gibbons, Santana on a double date… and more to be confirmed.

Mad Cool Festival (from July 10 to 12)
Mad Cool returns with an im-pre-sio-nant lineup that mixes all kinds of genres and styles with artists of very high cache such as Olivia Rodrigo, Kings of Leon, Noah Kahan, Alanis Morissette, Gracie Abrams, Iggy Pop and Justice.

Festival ALMA Occident Madrid (from June 19 to July 2)
The Tierno Galván Park will once again be the stage for the magical musical nights of the ALMA Occident Madrid Festival. So far, we have confirmed artists such as Alan Parsons Live Project, Wilco, Los Tigres del Norte or The Corrs.

Bonus track: festivals that deserve a getaway
Polar Sound, in Baqueira Beret (March 21 and 22)
If you like music and snow, Polar Sound is the festival where you’ll want to get lost. In the Catalan Pyrenees, between ski slopes and beer that does not get warm, you can enjoy Dani Fernández, Viva Suecia, La La Love You, Maldita Nerea, Malmö 040, Nil Moliner, Siloé and many more.

Primavera Bits by Nisa (June 8)
We can’t avoid mentioning the festival of festivals, the mother of them all. Primavera Sound with a line-up crowned by three queens: Chappell Roan, Charli XCX and Sabrina Carpenter.
The festival has just announced the sold out in both season tickets and day tickets but … do not stop dreaming: there are still tickets for the closing party on Sunday, which will be more than epic. A day of electronica with Paul Kalkbrenner, Michael Bibi, Carlita, Bunt and Ona.

Azkena Rock Festival, in Vitoria (June 19, 20 and 21)
Manic Street Preachers, The Flaming Lips, P.I.L, Buzzcocks, Quique González, Dead Kennedys… Azkena Rock Festival (or ARF, for the connoisseurs) is one of those unmissable festivals if your thing is antlers, leather jackets and rock. A poster that this 2025 is full of big stars and pearls like Quique Gonzalez or Derby Motoreta’s Burrito Kachimba.

Bilbao BBK Live (July 11th to 13th)
Bilbao BBK Live is a must for indies, but its line-up is also brimming with pop, rock and electronica. Located in a unique natural setting in Bilbao, it has already confirmed great international and national artists such as Kylie Minogue, Pulp, Amaia, Bad Gyal, Michael Kiwanuka, Nathy Peluso, Orbital, Polo & Pan, BICEP and many more.
