Black Friday is no longer just a shopping date in Madrid, it has become a real urban marathon of plans, culture and (free) mobility designed to get the city out on the streets. Throughout the week of November 28 the main shopping avenues are filled with discounts, extended hours and illuminated shop windows, while many museums, cultural centers and entertainment venues join the bandwagon of timely sales.
Free EMT buses
The Municipal Transport Company (EMT) has confirmed that its lines will once again be free during the three-day Black Friday shopping period. To take advantage of this measure, users will be able to validate their transport ticket at no cost or request a single ticket from the driver, thus facilitating sustainable mobility in the capital. The BiciMad service also joins the initiative with free trips of up to 30 minutes.

Candlelight
Candlelight concerts also join Black Friday in Madrid with discounts ranging from 10% to 20% on many of their sessions. This includes tributes to Queen, ABBA, The Beatles, Metallica, Hans Zimmer, Ludovico Einaudi or Taylor Swift in such iconic venues of the capital as the Four Seasons, the Círculo de Bellas Artes, the Ateneo de Madrid or the ICOMEM, all illuminated by thousands of candles. Discounted tickets start at around 9-12 € for the simplest programs and are around 16-22 € for the premium formats.

Cinderella, the musical
You grew up with the Disney movie and its many subsequent reinterpretations, but seeing it live is a different story. Now the musical is dressing up for Black Friday with a battery of discounts designed to fill the stalls at the best price. During these weeks they offer discounts that can exceed 20% in many performances during the week, tickets from about 25 € and special Black Week and Black Month campaigns with extra discounts, in addition to specific promotions through ticketing platforms and for young audiences with ID. It is a good time to see one of the great premieres of the season in the middle of Gran Vía without paying the usual price.

Avatar: The Experience
Avatar: The Experience has landed in Espacio Delicias with more than 1,400 m² dedicated to the universe of Pandora, nine immersive rooms, bioluminescent jungles, animatronic creatures, interactive areas to “avatarize” and banshee flight simulations. It is a tour of about an hour that allows you to touch, smell and hear the nature of Pandora, understand its ecosystem and say goodbye in a more contemplative final space, designed as an emotional closure. Coinciding with Black Friday, tickets also have a 25% discount on the original price, so it is the perfect time to return to this world before the premiere of the new film.

Gustos Restaurant
The tentacles of discounting even reach into the caves beneath Madrid’s Plaza Mayor. The Gustos restaurant has signed up for Black Friday with a promotion as simple as it is juicy: during the week of November 24-30 it offers a 10% discount on the bill to those who show in room the publication of its pre-Black Friday on Instagram when making the reservation. It is applicable to lunches and dinners at table (depending on the conditions of the local), perfect to enjoy their rice dishes, tapas and homemade dishes in one of the most iconic squares of the city, but paying a little less for the feast.

UMusic Shop
The UMusic hotel store, which contains the former Albéniz Theater, joins the American tradition from November 24 to 30, offering a 20% discount on merchandising, vinyls, CDs and official products of some of the most legendary and influential artists.
Among the collections that will be discounted will be selected pieces from the Backstage Xmas Club, its new limited Christmas edition, which brings together garments from The Rolling Stones, KISS, The Beatles and Guns N’ Roses with iconic designs in festive versions; there is also a special David Bisbal line, Todo es posible en Navidad, with T-shirts, sweaters, scarves, hats, thermal cups and Christmas balls for dedicated fans.
