Madagascar, the musical, a theatrical adaptation based on the DreamWorks animated film, lands in Madrid this Saturday as an entertainment proposal as familiar as ephemeral: it will only be in the city for four days (February 1, 2, 8 and 9, 2025).
During these two weekends, the theater of the UMusic Hotel Teatro Albéniz (Calle de la Paz, 11) will host at 12 noon this 80-minute performance that tells the story of the giraffe Melman, the zebra Marty, the hippo Gloria, the lion Alex and the penguins Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Cabo.
The narrative begins with the protagonists’ move from the Central Park Zoo in New York to a reserve in Kenya. However, it is cut short and they end up on the island of Madagascar, where they meet Julien – and where one of the most memorable moments of the film takes place with the peculiar king of the lemurs.
