Just a few days ago, Peruvian chef Gastón Acurio landed in Madrid with La Mar, his long-awaited restaurant in the capital. The opening is not trivial and the boom of the Andean country’s cuisine continues to be represented with the arrival of ‘Peru Mucho Gusto’, the most important gastronomic fair of the Andean country, which crosses the Atlantic to celebrate its first international edition in Madrid.
The event, to be held from April 11 to 13 at Espacio Ibercaja Delicias, brings the best of Peruvian cuisine to the capital with pisco tastings, traditional dances, handicrafts and, of course, food. ‘Peru Mucho Gusto’, on the other hand, has been consolidated as a success in its country since 2008, attracting thousands of visitors every year under the slogan “Flavors with History”.

More Peruvian restaurants in Madrid
Peruvian cuisine has become one of the most popular in Madrid, thanks, in part, to its fusion of flavors and traditions. Restaurants such as El Inca, a pioneer in Spain, Inti de Oro, with its authentic Creole cuisine, or Quispe, which offers Peruvian tapas with Nikkei influences, have conquered the people of Madrid. Innovative spaces such as Tampu, with its gastronomic proposal with storytelling, or Chifa, which combines Peruvian-Cantonese tradition, demonstrate the versatility of this cuisine.
