Although we can already see Christmas lights on the streets, it’s worth remembering that Halloween hasn’t passed yet. And Sunday’s Day of the Dead parade and next week’s holiday are proof of that. So, if you’re still on the hunt this week for a Halloween plan in Madrid that goes beyond just going to a nightclub, the Pontifical Basilica of San Miguel is hosting a concert dedicated to Mozart, Bach, and other timeless composers.
It will take place on October 31 at 9:00 p.m. and will feature some of the most iconic works of classical music. Plus, since this is one of the concerts organized by Candlelight in Madrid, the Pontifical Basilica of San Miguel—built in the 18th century—will be illuminated by thousands of candles for the occasion. A setting that will add an extra special (and classic) touch to Halloween night.

In addition to this Saturday’s performance, there are two more dates to enjoy this concert: November 27 and December 11, 2026. In any case, seats are limited and tend to sell out quickly as the event date approaches, so we recommend booking in advance.
But if you’re looking for a less classical concert for this time of year, this isn’t the only concert this weekend that fits the October 31 theme. On Friday, the Paraninfo at the Complutense University of Madrid will host another evening of live music, but in this case, it will be dedicated to Halloween classics, featuring soundtracks from iconic films like *Beetlejuice* and *Psycho*.
