After breaking visitor records in 2024, the most famous museum in the capital unveils its program for the year that has just begun. There will be temporary exhibitions on the great masters of the art gallery and on a symbol of Catholicism in Mexican culture, in addition to a third itinerary of El Prado en femenino, which focuses on the contribution of women artists.

New season of El Prado en femenino
Isabella of Farnese assembled one of the most important art collections of the 18th century, more than a third of which is in the Prado Museum. The signatures of Van Dyck, Brueghel the Younger, Clara Peeters, Velázquez, Ribera and Murillo are among the queen’s paintings.
The new season of El Prado en femenino is a tribute to the sovereign, who due to psychological problems of her husband, Philip V, ended up becoming, according to Cardinal Alberoni, “absolute mistress of the kingdom of Spain”.
