With the arrival of spring comes the desire to make a good change of closet and (why not?) add new clothes. With the fever of thrift stores in Madrid, you can do it at an affordable price. More at Rethink Vintage, the flea market that, after filling Aniceto Marinas street in February, returns to the same place this weekend: Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 April.
With more than 10,000 garments and 100 categories of items, this ephemeral market sells everything at outlet prices: a kilo of clothes costs 35 euros (so, a scarf of 100 grams would cost 3.5 euros). There is no minimum purchase: if we only like a garment, we can buy it by weight regardless of its quality.
Rethink Vintage will be open non-stop on Saturday, from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm, and on Sunday, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Free tickets are available through Eventbrite now (they’re flying!). Those going with friends must buy them separately (multiple seats cannot be selected at the same time).
The Rethink culture
The marketplace promotes ethical shopping for sustainable fashion at prices to suit all budgets. It aims to support the circular economy and reduce the environmental impact of the textile industry, one of the most polluting in the world.
